Reputation system (infamy) and castle raids / attacks by NPC factions.
A negative reputation system where you gather infamy by killing members of factions (bandits, Militia, Silverlight Paladins / citizens, Gloomrot troops, Dracula's minions etc.). You can have a menu showing your (negative) standing with each faction and progress can be tracked with increments of the standing (e.g. despised, hostile, hated etc.). Each increment will unlock an additional layer of challenge against that faction, with potentials like being ambushed while in the open world, groups of these factions leading attacks / raids to your castle etc.

Yeaaah that would also mean so much for me and my roleplay immersion as well.
Just because we are Vampire that does not mean we must be murderhobo's or savages who treat Humans like sh°° by default. :)
It would be nice if we could rise our esteem with different factions by things like, consistingly avoiding to kill Human NPC's, which spreads the word that we are not that dangerous of a Vampire.
Which then in turn will make some Humans want to become our Thralls willingly!
After all the allure of eternal life MUST be tempting for someone out there, right?
Which could then in turn make Humans with Lanterns or Torches approach you in the middle of night, offering you to bring them to your Castle.
And if you agree, they follow you freely, without hypnosis, will fight for you if necessary or cower against stronger foe's.
Wether you turn them into Thralls or make them realize how naive they have been, once you are in your Castle with them, would be for you to decide then of course. ;) -

DragonI would be more interested in a reputation / karma system that was additionally tied to the pvp system and also the new duelling banners ...
Implement benefits / advantages (such as bonus combat perks or other uses) for using the duelling banners which incentivizes them and also ties into the leaderboard / scoreboard point system and clan / faction point system
Create a title system (similar to UO) which utilizes positive and negative titles (such as the dishonorable , the dastardly , the scoundrel , dread lord , neophyte , the noble , the illustrious , great lord , etc) , and when people jump in and pvp / gank people who are 'flagged duelling' , it affects the karma system which can also have effects on character stats , long-term advantages / disadvantages , faction alignment perks and bonuses , etc
You could even implement some sort of ear drop (or other body part) system which could also be a trophy mount (bragging rights) / bounty system -

DragonAdditionally , within the reputation / karma system ... killing npc / mobs would increase / decrease your reputation (depending on the mob faction) and also increase your karma (in general) ... pvp'ing other players would generally negatively impact (decrease) your karma , but increase reputation ... unless you are pvp'ing / killing a negative alignment player (ie dread lord) , then your karma would increase as well as reputation increase
You could create a system that gives advantages and disadvantages based on these things
