Basements
would love buildable spots to have a the ability to have basements as well, that mimics the shape of the buildable zone above it of course!
The the dungeon dwelling vampires among us, and of course for a true and proper underground dungeon for prisons and other unsightly things that don't belong in the surface!
There could be various ways to access them, like having to unlock basement access structures first, like hatches, ladders or simply stairs leading down, and possible putting in the work to carve it out as well, with the edges of it being the same shape as the buildable zone above!

Ser_ElrykI've always thought this, how it does feel odd to have things like a dungeon on the ground or upper floor. Prison Cells, and also some of the more unsightly things like the Vermin Nest, just seem like they would be suited for an underground or basement area.
Not sure how it would actually be implemented. But I do love the idea of it. -

I thought the same thing. Dungeon, or crypt, or a place to put your jail cells.
Having stalactites, or bone pile options for decorations would be great -

MQI love this idea - I think it'll be interesting/difficult to implement, but I'm hoping the excellent team figures out a way - I think the complication would probably get somewhat big when it comes to those multi-tier lots - like how would you navigate putting down a doorway that is a basement to one tier of a multi-tier lot, but would lead to ground floor of the lower tier?
All that said, I know EXACTLY where I would put down a boss for this exact feature (maybe it's just hatches or ladders, maybe it's "excavation in general"). In the same spot as where Nicholaus is, there is this (personally beloved) little crypt area which goes "beneath" the base layer of the lot. get down the stairs, click F to get transported to a new zone that's maybe not dissimilar from that initial zone before you really get into the tutorial area. -

BomooI would also love basements. It's wonderful we've gotten to build up already, but being able to build at least one level down would be the cherry on top.
