Enviornmental events, Aka expanding on the Blood Moon mechanic.
There are a lot of things i enjoy about this game, but one of the things that i feel need expanding upon is the Blood moon, or more specifically the mechanics that surround the blood moon.
first off, additional Blood Moon like events. one such event i can think of is an Eclipse. similar to a blood moon but occurs during the day. an event that allows vampires to walk about during the day with impunity, while also granting some other benefits. you could also add moon phases that may grant certain benefits and/or penalties depending on if the moon is full, crescent or new.
Could also add some more dynamic weather effects using this system. allow rain and thunderstorms to be seen outside of Gloomrot, or a mist or fog that can come and go on occasion. a taste of the experience in the cursed forest.
just a few examples to expand upon a system that, given how important the day/night cycle is, i think could have some more love shown to it.

EdEnAstronomy station for castle which displays the schedule for upcoming moon-related events when interacted with.
Higher tier stations let you see further ahead in time, up to one in-game week.
Add Orrery foundation and wallpaper set for decorating astronomy/divination chambers.
Aside from an eclipse, suggest including rare meteor shower events which target random locations with meteor strikes, dealing damage and leaving behind resources and/or astral-themed enemies. -

Navigating to new places using the stars! An Observatory boss in Silverlight (near the docks?). Use Human form to charter a ride across the ocean on a ship. Desert biome, Far east jungle biome, olympian highlands biome... etc.
Also another moon phase idea:
New Moon (as in no moon for the night) - This could decrease visibility for NPCs and PCs making you disappear (blurry and camoflaged like Night Lurkers)
