My vision of ritual magic for V Rising would consist of a spell circle where rituals are conducted. The spell circle (occupies a 2x2 cell; just less then). Rituals are crafted at the spell circle coming in with a associated player animation.

Rituals would come in two different forms instant and sustained; learned from both V Bloods and the research tech tree. Instant rituals are quickly casted with their effects up and done over a few seconds. Example ritual, Blood purge, negative de buffs are removed or severely depleted from caster over 4 seconds, Casting time six seconds. Sustained rituals are the heart and soul of the ritual magic setup. Once the steep casting cost is met and the ritual is cast (a player animation consisting of about ten seconds) produce a "alter" in the center of the circle. The alter can be attacked by enemy players and once destroyed, the ritual ends. The ritual (sustained) before it can be cast requires blood essence to be placed into two slots.
