Ability to "Pin" a resource to a slot in a machine/container
Ability to "Pin" a resource to a slot in a machine, then Compulsive Sort will still work even if that slot is empty. Just use left click on the resource to toggle Pin status.
This would also be extremely useful if the container Sort function respected the Pin instructions. I often want to arrange a box in a specific order, but also want to be able to auto sort into MY specific arrangement.

vonBoomslang MergedI'd like to have the ability to pin a item to slot in storage - basically, hover my mouse over a slot in storage, press some key (let's say Q) and the slot becomes pinned to that item - a little pin icon shows up in a corner, and if I remove the item, a ghost of the item is visible. This has a few effects:
- the item will be Compulsively Counted to the storage even if none are there
- no other item can go in that slot (unless you manually drag and drop it) - useful to pin empty spaces to limit how much ore gets auto-sorted into each furnace, for example
- Take All won't take items from pinned slots unless all other slots are empty (so tap twice to fully empty)
- sorting the storage preferentially puts items after the slots they're pinned in, rather than the bottom -
