Fix horse combat, it ruins a big part of the game
The amount of times I died to people riding a horse up to me and chunking 1/3 of my health before I can knock them off, then die. From my perspective there are 3 options to solve this issue:
1. Let us disable horses or at least disable combat on horses.
2. Massively lower the damage on horses
3. Make being knocked off a horse by a PLAYER really punishing, like it stuns you for a few seconds.
My ideal solution to this issue is #3 but including a way to configure the horse mechanics would be really good too.
Thanks for taking the time to read!

Ruby MergedIf you strike some1 when ur riding you should get knocked off your horse or you should get heavily slowed, being able to fight while mounted makes the boss battles too easy and people will rush bosses and lategame gear faster.

Lyndarra MergedToo Many people are cheese rushing bosses on the horses this ruins the progression and in the long run kills the server make it so if you hit a boss it knocks you off the horse or something of the sort!

Blinon MergedAbility attack from horseback is one of the coolest parts of this game.
Boss rush is one thing, but pvp horse shouldn't be changed at all imo. -

DrUnclepantsAlso the ai shouldn't target the horse when you are off of it, they will gp out of their way to kill your horse without you being on it. It's ridiculous, the whole ai seems to need a rework IMO

Thomas Elvidge MergedI want to fight on my horse but taking ANY damage knocks you off straight away. Maybe a damage threshold before being knocked off? It would make horse combat actually viable, it probably won't be very effective but it would be fun.

Zzzzz MergedHorse combat is already overpowered and extremely frustrating and annoying to fight against. Needs to be nerfed harder since it's a terrible mechanic.

FandralHorseback riders always dominate the battlefield over regular footmen in real life medieval times. Use ur ult or ur ice lance. Terrain to your advantage. What u suggesting makes it even more pointless to use a horse in PVE.

JurgenJuggernaut MergedThreshold: Dismount mechanic, a player needs to be stunned and then attacked to "dismount" him/her. Spear "stuns" mounted player, making the mechanic faster.
Space (Outside combat): As it is.
Space (Combat): Dashes as vampire does and damages enemies in front.
R, C and T: abilities from Vampire.
Q and E: abilities from weapon.
Models/Skins: Wolves, bears, dracklings, batlings, etc.
Models/skins that we can get throw defeating special enemies or buying them in packs. -

DestrucTopAWeakening horses for PvP balance, of course, this is understandable. But in PvE they become very inconvenient / useless when you are knocked off your horse by a random arrow of a mob due to the fact that PvP players are hindered by cavalrymen :/
Because of this, my friends and I did not use them at all, since the shape of the wolf is not much worse, but it does not require monitoring and caring for the horse.
It would be better not to be able to attack on horseback, but also not to be knocked off it, that would be an "upgrade" to transforming into a wolf.
A horse would be really useful if it had its own inventory, like a servant (through saddlebags, for example). Then even at the end of the game the horse would be indispensable and worth all the trouble.
