Allow exact amounts of items to be separated from a stack of them, not just half.
Let us specify a number of items to take from a stack. Currently you can split a stack in half by middle-mouss clicking but its very annoying to grab just what you need.

Jeff Shockey MergedThis is the biggest QoL issue with the game currently imo. Make an option to split stacks by a set amount preferably by typing or secondary choice a slider. Instead of middle click make it shift-middle click.

ChronxI've definitely spent quite a bit of time fiddling with stack-splitting to turn something like 482 into a stack of 24. A slider would help but it might be tricky to get the UX to feel good due to stack sizes ranging from 1 all the way up to 500 (And sometimes even more based on server settings).
The current half-stack-split implementation feels okay enough once you get the hang of "which sum of half-stacks will get me to my intended amount", but the sticking point is you need to have the inventory space to split a stack (potentially) multiple times. I'd love to just shift-middle-mouse click and punch in the number I want to split off -

AJman14Shift-middle-click would be WONDERFUL for an exact selection!
A couple QoL details that would be great if it's implemented:
- A slider would be useful if it snaps to the nearest 10. Continue to hold shift for no snapping.
- The number text should be automatically selected so you can easily type a qty to split from the stack. The number should remain selected if the slider is dragged. -

WirexiaMiniI support.
Needs both a selection slider and the ability to enter a number due to some stacks of 500. -

Zeyv MergedAdd in something like a Shift+click functionality where it will split a single item from a stack. It's a hassle when I only need 3 or 4 of a material and I have to split my stack of 500 a million times just to get a decently small number, only to then have to combine all the other splits again

Adrian MergedWhen I want to add resources to a container, can I choose how much I want to add? Maybe I can type it or have a bar to drag it left and right? Wanted to do that for my tombs, I could only split them!

JadeEven a right click to place 1 item when holding a stack would be helpful. Anything...but please give me more options than just split stack or move it all. Also, if we could have the option to lock slots...for example our toolbelt. I would like to lock each slot so that when i click to compulsively sort, i don't lose my weapons just because I have similar items in a container. Then you could also give me an option to move all items from me to the container without touching my locked slots. Love the game! Love the changes..

Vrising player MergedCurrently, the only option i know of is middle mouse button to split a stack in half. I often want to take only a certain amount of items out of a storage container, so an addition that when shift is hold while an item is left clicked, it should open a small window where we can put in the amount we want to take out.
A simple quality of life addition to an otherwise perfectly fine game. -

PilchensteinI've been playing another game lately where the stack splitting options are "take half" (as we have here) and "take one" and having that extra option to fine-tune makes a world of difference. So while a dedicated UI to enter an exact amount would be nice, shift+middle click to take a single item would be a very acceptable (and hopefully easy to implement) compromise in the meantime.

gere MergedFor now we can split items by halfs, but would be good to get a shortcut to do a custom split, where you can grab a 100 stacked item and just type the number you want to get from the stack.

Serhat MergedHello, We would like to express our need to be able to divide certain items in our possession in the desired quantity. Some of our items are available in different quantities, such as 100 or 200-500 pieces. We are seeking the capability to divide these items into any desired quantity of packages. Currently, we can only split them into two parts, but we require more flexibility and customization.
We kindly request you to examine the possibility of dividing these items in the desired quantity and provide us with information on how long it would take to accomplish this in accordance with our requirements, along with the associated costs.
Please assist us in this matter and get back to us as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Sincerely, -

ThexusMiddle click splitting in half is fine, but alt+middle click should split it into 3 stacks, and shift+middle click should bring up a slider.
