Blood essence to repair equipment

With repair costs as a hot debate topic, my solution is the use of blood essence. Blood essence is a universal resource that is barely used anywhere at all, and even when it is it's usually cheap. What if it was used to repair equipment and got more expensive the higher the tier you go (eventually into greater and primal blood essence). I don't know whether Blood essence should completely replace current costs, or if it's better to reduce the current costs and add blood essence as another resource. Either way, I think blood essence needs to have more use and that current repair costs are too expensive
