[New Weapon] Guns / Firearms
soldiers in Silverlight Hills have firearms, and it would be neat to be able to use them ourselves.
there could be many different types of firearms, but to differentiate them from Crossbows, their core mechanical identity could be higher damage at the cost of slower attack speed. furthermore, they would only be available from Iron onwards.
Pistols: slightly lower damage, slightly faster attack speed, slightly higher base crit
Rifle: longer projectile range
Repeating Rifle: faster attack speed, only available from Dark Silver onwards and must be reloaded after a certain number of attacks. the reload would be one of the weapon skill abilities.

Ginseng MergedMost of these I believe fill a roll that is not expressly filled by what is currently in game. I believe these could be easily implemented into the game without working against the in game mechanics already in place. Putting in order of best idea to worst please consider the following.
1. Whip.
Long range melee/ Control/ Minion command role
(Passive does not kill creatures/humans allowing you to not accidentally kill people you want to capture)
Ability 1. Lay a snare with the whip on the ground when the small area is entered it triggers a trip/stun.
Ability 2. is a charm ability for creatures turning them into Allies for a time. This ability can be used again on an already charmed creature to give them a buff or use a unique ability designated by creature type. As a bonus higher tier whips could offer increased minion count. -

Ginseng Merged2. Scepter.
Weak Melee/ Boosts vampire powers.
Boosts vampiric powers, normally powers remover or restrict using spells/attacks. There are a lot of possibilities here but here are some ideas for changes to the base powers. Transformations:
Rat - Summon swarm of rats that DOT disease & invisibility
Bat - Summon swarm of bats(same effect as Styx) & a short Sun immunity(burned up first time I went bat...)
Wolf - Increase speed & unlock the wolf charge ability
Bear - Increase defense & resistances
Frog - Poison on contact(works like silver on non undead), a tongue harpoon like spear ability
Human - Backstab! triggers fear effect from banshee.
Dominating Presence - AOE stun & charm a enemy to fight for you for a duration.
Blood Hunger - reroll blood quality of one unit (long cool down)
Blood Mend - drain health from nearby creatures, you are immobile.
Should be a later game item, requiring more materials than comparable gear of same level. -

Ginseng Merged3. Rapier & Buckler/Dagger
Defensive weapon/ Duelist weapon (passive parry chance)
Ability 1. channeled counter(catches attack like shield spells) triggers a mini stun and repositions user behind triggering enemy.
Ability 2. wound target slowing and granting life steal when hitting them for duration.
move set could be thrust focused like spear or a mix up of thrusts and slashes to make it more interesting.
4. Fang Talisman
Short ranged shotgun type weapon. Individual projectiles weak but high damage up close.
Ability 1. Defensive aura that surrounds target ally gives some damage reduction & damage reflection vs melee.
Ability 2. Fire large piercing projectile, or maybe something that pins targets in place in an AOE.
This weapon could introduce a new material for crafting, nails/claws/fangs from things already in game.
Spider fangs add poison(as silver)
Mosquito Proboscis(stabby straw) heals or actually increases blood pool with a a chance of decreasing blo -

Ginseng Merged5. Soul Lantern/Wand/Unholy Symbol
Very weak melee, skills revolve around boosting magic.
Ability 1. shave time off spell cool downs with a channel or long animation making you vulnerable (canceled on hit) choose carefully when to use.
Ability 2. Double cast next spell or better yet upgrade the effect and jazz up the animation of next spell cast.
6. Twin Blade
AOE focused weapon/Below average damage/almost 360 degree radius
(passive increases damage for each enemy hit)
Ability 1. quick double slash and retreat backwards. You would need an exit if your purpose with this weapon is to be surrounded.
Ability 2. a whirlwind ability that does multiple hits and pulls enemies in towards you, fairly large AOE.
I don't really like this one but for a dedicated crowd cleaving weapon it seemed to fit best and was significantly different than like a great sword. -

Artemis Merged5 Weapon types is an abysmal amount even for early access
Suggestions:
Rapier, Dual Swords, Sword & Dagger, Halberds, Greatswords (already in dev), Daggers, Staffs, Sabre; just off the top of my head -

CDR KittenMaybe make the flintlock weapons PVE game mode only? I get that it kind of restricts them but...I dunno. I would really like to see them. But I also know that balancing new weapons for PVP is going to be difficult. Sadly, I know this, but I'm a PVE player so...Gunz plz? :D PS, luv the whip idea that was merged here too. I'm a huge fan of whip weapons.
Might I suggest an "Unarmed" weapon as well? A set of fingerless gloves or something, I dunno. But allowing us to use our innate vampiric strength and stuff would be very nice. Punchy Punchy and all that. Or I guess in a Vampire's case, claw-claw swipey swipey?
