ShaunyYea, it's boring having to turn them on and off all the time.

Ken SvenssonThat might be confusing. you wouldn't know for sure if it is empty or not until it's too late.
Maybe just have it burn a significantly reduced cost instead. -

Slayer3010Automation like this is interesting, if my tannery and sawmill can magically run without me, then the mist brazier can shut off in daylight

JasonDOr be able to set a servant to have tasks around the castle and turning off stuff or fetching items after they are done be things we can assign to them.

MarcusI like JasonD's idea, or maybe we could call up a castle map and click on the ones we want to turn on / off?

DripyulaI would also like a slightly indicated fog which creeps over the ground. :)
And yeah an automatic shut-off during the night is desirable.
Farming bones is a bit annoying in the early phases of the game.
And if you forget to shut it off, it can really make me feel stupid & depressed. ^^ -

spacefiddleVisual effect could easily make it apparent if it is empty or not. have small pile of bones in brazier if it has bones, have it be an empty bowl if it is empty. Done :)

Jason Sheldon ArencibiaIt would be nice if they were for visual effect at night without using bones or reduced, but functional during the day using bones!

ShadowDragon8685Braziers should automagically shut off during the night. There's no reason for them to be burning bones to no effect. Hell, no reason they should be burning bones when you're not home at all.

Glitch MergedNew feature to automatically turn off misting braziers during the night to help save bones upkeep.

RizeresMaybe a Tier 2 mist brazier that could be set to turn off at day if you want, but can also burn other things in it. Like burn herbs with soul dust to get AoE buffs. (move speed, blood consumption slower) stuff like that to help when at base.

KekkaPrefer brazier to turn on when you come in range with your character if brazier is 'ON', and brazier to be shutted down if it's 'OFF'.

Jake W.I'd be fine if you had to task a Servant as a Castle Steward that went and did it manually.

spacefiddleI completely agree, in this case it's just a matter of tedium running around and shutting them off in the morning, and Dracula help you if you left them in some other castle. With an automatic daytime shutoff, their rate of resource consumption would be balanced. As it is, I just don't use them because I already have enough running around hitting switches without using these, and leaving them on means a lot of wasted bones that could've eventually been more Scourgestones instead ;)
TL;DR having them be manual isn't really adding anything to the game but busywork. As with a lot of other upgrades in the game, it would be fine if a Tier 2 brazier had the automatic functionality and we still had the manual ones in our little stockade camps.... but running around all over the grounds of a 400-tiles castle twice a day errday is a no-go.
ok that actually wasn't shorter. Oh well. -

GeneralXTLI like the idea as an upgrade. Perhaps by putting something more rare in the braziers that don't burn at night or maybe an upgraded brazier that reacts to sunlight?

BrigI have stopped playing this game due to a few quality of life features that are currently not present. I will return when this feature is added.
