Salvage Silver Coins into Silver Ore; Turn Silver Ore into Silver Coins

It feels odd that we cannot do that.

The Brighthaven Dock NPC could be buffed and turned into a V Blood for the Silver Ore > Silver Coin recipe, crafted in the Jewelry Table or Anvil.

I think melting silver coins into silver ore at the forge would be fine. 1:1 even. But you should not be able to mint coins. Seems like it would be way to easy to get coins at that point.

Coins are nearly useless right now since by the time you've accumulated enough coins, you don't need anything the coins can buy.
It's a cool subsystem/mechanic, but needs to be balanced upwards a lot.
