Different color for clanmates waypoints

Right now there is a great icon on your screen when you place a marker on the map.

I would love to have different ones for our teammates. Maybe toggleable or dismissable on right click if it is in your way.

Its annoying to have to keep reminding my teammate to remove his vexing map marker since I heavily rely on markers to navigate.

This seems like a good idea.
One way to separate your own marker from the teammate's marker could be to make the others more opaque or grey.
Symbols and letters could also be considered.
Having too many x-markers with different colors on your map can still be a bit confusing if you are colorblind for example.
