Grinding Plants for Seeds
We should be able to grind stacks of plants to generate seeds. The higher tier the plant the more plants we would need to grind to generate one seed but it would allow us to scale up our gardens over time with a bit less RNG involved.

JehkobaEven having a universal "one stack per seed" option would allow players to grow their gardens effectively.

DenisYou can buy seeds from merchants or summon giant rats in Vermin Nest for low lvl seeds.

loopIf you need a lot of seeds, kill treants, or visit the sacred grove and hit all the plants there.

Ms.MediocreYou can't buy tree seeds and I'm quite sick of cutting down thousands of them just to get ONE Oak/Pinecone seed. As for buying them from the merchants ... That's if you have a server that doesn't just kill them every time they see them. Plus you can't just Blood Hunt the Merchants, you activity have to go out and find them, with possibly a thousand or more silver. WHICH on a PvP server is just SUPER Risky ... AND better yet! You have to be in Human form just to trade with them or they out right attack you adding even more risk.
So ... To sum it up. Getting seeds without buying them takes it for ever but buying the seeds is so risky on PvP servers because of the price of them. That it's easier to just go out and farm them in the wild. -

TimReplying above: If you are extremely concerned about seeds, then you might want to think about playing on a PVE server....Also you shouldn't be harvesting tree seeds until you have top tier axe and 100% worker blood.
I do agree though that it should be (a bit) easier to find treants (because stone golems are everywhere and castles cover spawns), and we should be able to trade seeds and duplicate hats with *traders*. For example, on our PVE server, we have seeds that we don't want anymore, and we are stuck with them. But we are trying to find other types of seeds.
Being able to trade would create smoother gameplay. Something like this (trading with a merchant) would also solve the issue with what to do with paper and schematics because we are throwing those on the ground now. We just don't need 'em anymore. -

GunnarSo far getting seeds is a lucky sign. Luck in of itself is a useful game mechanic and I reckon removing or meddling too much with it will make certain items much less rare, less unique. I would warn about such actions, as the game will quickly change for better or *worse (*most likely). Giving players this option may seem like a neat addition to the game, but it removes a valuable essence, and that is the Vampire's need to go on expeditions. Only after you've become a veteran should you see your empire growing slightly more autonomous.
I would add and improve on other things before giving this idea any more attention.
For example: "adding various locations on the map wherein plants are more plentiful/bountiful", or "add events (similar to the Blood Moon) which increase i.e. dropchance for seeds". Events make people turn heads and scramble to garner rewards and utilize blessings bestowed.
Well, this is just an opinion. -

GunnarPerhaps offering a certain amount of plants to a merchant/trader may get you some seeds, alas, only available at the end-game/zone?

Lugulbandai would love to see that, some crops are very hard to get like the shorm mushroms but if u have a stack or more collecte u can build up seeds faster,
on the other hand, thats one of the things wich gibes me long time play if i need stuff make everything to easy it should be, xo maybe 5stacks =1 seed..
add that up with the dryer i proclaimed gives u a new bench for seeds..
