Stone stairs should have roofs (or the option for it)
Allow players to place walls on both sides of stone stairs to develop roofs or make it so when stone stairs are surrounded by castle flooring roof and walls develop.

loopGood suggestion.
Stairs are now vulnerable to frog jumping, and some base spots become really bad because you can't really do anything to fix that. -

Shpidoinkle MergedSeems pretty obvious, staircases connecting rooms should have roofs over them.

PhoenixA lot of times I go out and cut my trees down and then have no cover to get back inside.

BliskeI think stairs should remain vulnerable to toad jumping. I don't mind if it's like a visible to you thing and not visible to enemy thing but this would make toad form almost irrelevant unless on the developer side of things it was never intended for toads to jump up on stairs (which then in that case bat form also should never of been intended to land on the edges of a base)

AlkizarI would love to see stairs have roofs and also certain "exterior" floors to allow roofs to be built.
I would love covered stairs to lead to a covered pathway surrounding my garden. For instance the Cobblestone border pieces (not the speed buff ones) could allow a roof to be made over them. This would also allow fencing and gates to be placed in doorway pieces. -

DripyulaIt would also just look cooler in general.
Do not even mind all the PvP aspects ( I'm not playing on a Solo-server for nothing ).
But PvP really is the enemy of noble Castle architecture and enforcer of the ugly honeycombing meta.
A pity.
And so unnecessary.
As I said before Stunlock could make aesthetically pleasing Castles REWARDING for PvP purposes.
For example
+ If you use one of the basic castle stone floor variants
+ and you put a carpet over it;
As a result the owner & his Clan's Vampires will recieve a 50% MOVEMENT BUFF for free on this ground even in baseform.
But on production related floor tiles, it is just the usual buff.
And this way at least a single travel-corridor will be rewarding and not a waste of space.
I'm currently uploading "Castle Dripyula" to YouTube as a showcase.
Castles should look awesome, even with PvP.
And not like wierd, unnatural maces. :) -

TimI do agree with this. We should be able to have a optional "Terrace" covered with vines and ivy over it. Please added terraces and ivy to the game.
The reason why I emphasize a see-through optional terrace, is because I have stairs that go from the upper part of my castle to a hallway, and on the sides I want to be able to see my beautiful gardens from the stairs. So a roof would obstruct that side view of the garden. However if we have the OPTION to put a roof or a "terrace" with some ivy over it, then it won't be too bad I suppose. -

MICHAEL DELEONARDBest way to do roofs for stone stairs would be awnings, that hang off of window and door frames. Taken as a Set of three or so over the course of the stairs down I would be kinda of a roof for it while having other uses as well.

Jason Sheldon ArencibiaRight now I add stone pillars to the stairs, it adds some shade every few feet going up.
Some kind of awning from pillar to pillar would be cool! -

ValkenWhy not both?
I use the sun-vulnerable staircases to make it harder for besiegers to get in, but I'd also like some stairs that are not vulnerable to frog-leaping and sunburn.
Just have the devs copy the current stairway model and cover it a bit. BAM: two stairways and more diversity. -

Feedback910220Just commenting to say that as far as I know this is currently possible. At least I've added walls to the side of my stairs, over both levels the stairs take up, and once the second level had full walls it was given a roof.
