Offline Raid Protection
Inspired by my time in EVE, where they have defense shields on player structures.
- Base Shield powered by in-game resource, either collected or refined.
- Shield HP/Duration based on amount of resource placed in shield generating object.
- Shield only activates when base is attacked?
- Potentially lock/disable crafting stations in the base while shield is active. This incentivizes the player to resolve combat rather than sit behind an invulnerability shield while the attackers get bored.
This can either be a timer-based shield, or an HP-based shield. The intent is to discourage, but not completely disable, offline raiding while encouraging more player-to-player combat.
