Moving castle heart
It would be nice to be able to move the castle heart in your castle without having to dismantle your castle. I notice to move the heart you have to remove the floor, but, you can't remove the floor without removing the walls.

ShadowYou can remove the floor without removing the wall....have you been really removing the wall first before moving your castle heart??
You also have to make sure where you're setting you castle wall is also part of your area but make sure not to place a border where you will be placing the castle heart.
If you're moving location to an entire different location...yes you will need to dismantle everything because if they don't keep it like that it will cause a lot of duplicate castle glitch that I could easily exploit -

OrchidWe should be able to remove/replace floors with walls and plants touching.

Malabarba> You can remove the floor without removing the wall...
Not if the border/floor you want to remove is adjacent to a wall. _e.g._ if you want to move the castle heart to be against an existing wall, you have to first remove that border, but to remove that border, you have to remove the wall and pillars it touches, and to remove the pillars you have to remove the walls they support, so you have to dismantle 3 walls, 2 pillars, and a border before you can put the castle heart there. Even more if you want to put it into a corner or next to an entrance. -

Artimecion1I actually have the same problem. I often can't delete boarder or floors because of connected walls that still would otherwise be a part of my base. I want the heart to not requirethe 8 adjacent tiles to be clear and open. Make it one square, and let us out it anywhere we want

GenericGamerHe means you cannot remove a floor that has a wall or pillar bordering it. So you have to remove all walls and pillars that touch any side or corner of the floor you want to remove.

Phil#6227I'm glad moving the castle heart can be done, but I find it unintuitive and finnicky. The heart cannot be placed on a border, which means there also cannot be floor, which means there cannot be a roof when moving the heart. There is logic for "must be part of the same castle," which seems more complicated than just "touching a castle border." I, too, have experienced that walls prevent me from removing floors. Trying to move the castle heart against a wall could mean dismantling the wall and pillars, which also means dismantling the other walls adjacent to those pillars (and removes the roof), so you can dismantle the floor and border, so you can try to move the heart, only to be maybe rejected for "not being part of the same castle."
When replacing walls or floors, placing a new one will automatically dismantle the old one. It would be nice if moving a castle heart would automatically dismantle any floors and borders in that tile. -

MarioI've tried just removing the floor and it won't let me unless I remove the walls first...my wife has tried as well with the same results.

JehkobaI think the OP is referring to moving the heart* in cramped spaces. Yes, you can remove the floor in larger rooms without touching the walls, but squares *next* to walls and columns DO need those features removed before the floor can be deleted.
Having the castle heart swap with whatever floor tile is being targeted would be a nice QOL improvement. -

DawidStill, you have to 'break down' the floor canceling the roof to move the Heart which is silly.
Also, moving castle from place to place should be simplified and have ability to move over servants. -

MochnantI came here to request this feature (aka "Moving Castle Hearts Within The Same Location") only to see it seems to be possible. The in game warning message makes it seem like any move at all (even just 1 square over) requires a full dismantlement.
